vasart jug

Description: A scarce Vasart cream jug in mottled orange over white with an applied clear handle. An unusual piece, having the look of Monart with the ‘pebbled’ technique, but using the more muted colours of Vasart. Melted in pontil with some grinding. No mark and no label, C 1940’s/50’s.

Size:
10cm/4 inches high.

Condition:
Good. No damage. Handle intact. Rocks slightly on base, since it was hand-blown and relied on the shaped base to rest upon, but it shrunk a little unevenly on cooling.
